Sometimes music can speak to us, offering us comfort and peace when words fail.
Solace Bedside Singers understand the holiday season is not a merry time of year for everyone. For a variety of reasons we can find ourselves feeling sad, alone, overwhelmed. We need a place to be surrounded by peace and love, we need to allow our feelings to emerge and be blanketed with care. Everyone is welcome to join us in the warmth and candlelight for Moments of Solace. Sunday December 15th, 4 pm at St. George’s Anglican Church. Wrap yourself in a comforting musical blanket and simply BE.

Our Church Family enjoys sharing our favourite dishes with one another as well and enjoys the time to visit with one another. It's a great way to spend a couple hours before or after service. We'll be sharing a Potluck Lunch on 1 December after the 11 AM service. Looking forward to the time. Your Parish Council "Friendship is Brewing" happily announces that Dr. Kate Hazlitt will be our guest speaker on Saturday morning (23 November 2024) at 10 o'clock. Dr. Kate is an expert in heart-centred living and wellness, and we look forward to this special event. Coffee and treats will be served. All are welcome!

Come one, call all, for the ultimate musical bar crawl.* The Bach Walk will begin at Knox Presbyterian Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday November 30th. After a half hour of a little light baroque, we'll walk to North Street United for 30 minutes more, before crossing the street to St. George's where we'll cap our final half hour of music with some light refreshments. And who knows, perhaps next year we'll have "Rovin' Beethoven."
* perhaps the first bar crawl with no bars or beer involved. Shepherds, wise women, and Mary (oh my)!
This past Saturday, during the Goderich Christmas Parade, some of our kids and volunteers took to the streets to show off just how much fun we have at Messy Church. We brought the baby Jesus, a thurible (for the frankincense, of course), and a shepherd's crook (for the unruly sheep). Everyone seemed to agree that one particular angel swept the crowds off their feet, though a good time was had by all. Our next Messy Church! is Sunday December 1st, 4-6pm here at St. George's hall. Kids bring your adults for time together, crafts, a bible story, songs, and a shared meal. |
